Beck Media & Marketing Internship Position

BECK Media is seeking motivated college students with excellent written and oral communication skills for Fall, Spring and Summer internships. Ideal candidates will be in their junior/senior years majoring in Communications/Public Relations, Journalism, or English.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute at the cutting edge of television and technology PR as part of a growing agency serving outstanding b-to-b and consumer-focused clients.

BECK’s program will introduce students to the business of public relations and marketing communications and offer them an opportunity to be involved and trained in daily account activities. Interns are assigned to account teams and will be mentored by supervisors on projects such as creating press lists, drafting pitch letters and releases, event staffing, creating clip reports, and media research. Interns will gain hands-on
experience in media relations, event planning, market research and analysis, community relations, brand strategy and marketing communications.

Timing is flexible around classes, but we would prefer someone who is able to come in for at least 4 hours per day, 3 to 5 days per week. Also, if you have anyone that could do their internship course during the winter, we’re happy to work with that too. This February we’re working on the press for one of National Geographic Channel’s shows and could use some help as we plan the press days, pitching, and all that good PR stuff.
