Hi Lynn!

I'm creating a beauty fundraising event to benefit the Philippines from the typhoon Haiyan. I'm putting together a committee of individuals who will be able to assist me in making this happen. Since I love CCNY and this program, I thought your students would be a great start to recruit since this definitely applies to PR (special event planning, promotions, etc.). I need people to serve in the following categories:

Sponsorships Coordinator - Contacting companies, beauty brands, and PR reps to donate space, drinks, giveaways and raffle prizes
Outreach Coordinator - Reach out organizations, colleges, networking groups online to invite network and purchase tickets
Volunteer coordinator - Assist in coordinating day-of logistics, putting together volunteers, set up/break down, picking up prizes, etc.
PR coordinator - create press materials and reach out to my existing media list and others to promote event. Also find free websites to post event

I'm so used to doing all of this by myself, so assembling a group is definitely a stretch for me. I've attached a one-page proposal with more details of my vision. My overall goal is to raise $2,500 in ticket sales and personal donations to send back to the Philippines. I intend on finalizing this group by next Friday, Jan. 10th. If any of your students are interested, have them contact me at gen@360beautymaven.com with a few sentences on why they want to be a part of the group and what they can contribute to the event.

Let me know if you have any questions. Thank you so much for your support!!!

Genevieve

SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
There are several opportunities to support the Beauty Fundraiser, such as:

Venue Sponsor. We are requesting the use of a bar or restaurant venue with a private section for
beauty services. Ideally, it will be located in midtown Manhattan to attract people coming after work,
is easily accessible via train, and open for Wednesday-Friday. The benefits of this sponsorship is:
      > Exposure of venue to young professionals
      > Increased volume of bar sales

Beauty Service Providers. 5 minute makeovers and hand massages will be done at the event.
Makeup artists and estheticians will be needed to donate their beauty services for the guests.

Product Sponsors. Donations of beauty products, product bundles, and services will be used
for the following:

   > Exposure of product line for makeovers and hand massages

   > Rae prizes
   > Gift bags/free giveaways

Co-Hosting Sponsors. We would like to collaborate with organizations within the Filipino
community (ages 18-35), online/print media publications, bloggers, and networking groups for
young professionals and beauty aficionados. These organizations will receive a credit as co-host
for the fundraiser in exchange for promoting the event amongst their membership.

Volunteer Committee. Support will be needed prior to the event in obtaining product sponsors
and promoting the event. Volunteers will be needed for event set-up, check-in, selling rae
tickets, managing beauty services, and event breakdown.
