Subject: Columbia Media Conference Invitation
Dear Prof. Jackson,

My name is Wina Huang, and I am from the Columbia Spectator.

The Spectator is pleased to invite faculty and students from the Department of Media Communication Arts at the City College of New York to join us for our second annual Columbia Media Conference on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 1-6 p.m. in Lerner Cinema. CMC allows participants to listen to, meet, and network with leaders from both the content and business sides of the media industry. It is a wonderful opportunity for students and young professionals who may wish to pursue a career in media, journalism, and communication.

Panel topics will be on the changing landscape of careers in media, modern media revenue strategies, and political journalism. Speakers will include Alex Witt, the host of MSNBC's "Weekends with Alex Witt," Michael Roston, Staff Editor of Social Media at the New York Times, and Joe Ruffolo, Senior Vice President of Digital News at ABC. Recruiters from companies and graduate schools such as ABC news, the Columbia Journalism School, and the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism will also be on site throughout the event to speak to students.

You can visit conference.columbiaspectator.com to view our full list of speakers and to learn more about the event.

There are three types of tickets available for purchase: General Admission, Premium, and VIP.

Premium ticket holders will receive priority seating in the first four rows of the theater and will be positioned in the center section.

VIP ticket holders will receive a premium ticket and be able to have lunch with the panelists during the break between the first and second sessions. The VIP option is meant for those who wish to use the event as a networking opportunity.

Spec General Admission tickets are only $3.

Reserve your ticket at conference.columbiaspectator.com/register/. Seating is limited, so don't wait!

To keep updated on the details as we approach the conference, join the Facebook event here! Feel free to invite others to the event as well.

I look forward to seeing many from the City College of New York next Saturday!

Kind Regards,

Wina Huang
