The Jeannette K. Watson Fellowship
A PROGRAM OF THE THOMAS J. WATSON FOUNDATION
The Jeannette K. Watson Fellowship is a three year program that provides funded summer internships and unprecedented opportunities to promising undergraduate students from 12 New York City partner colleges. As a Watson Fellow, you are provided with annual funding of $5,500, $6,500 and $7,000, in addition to a $2,000 Discovery Fund to develop your personal, professional, and cultural potential.
  • Internships in NYC and around the globe allow you to gain experience, and widen your view of the work world and diverse cultures
  • Seminars build your confidence, and develop your personal, professional and cultural potential 
  • Ongoing dialogue with a thoughtful, experienced journal reader helps you process your internship and fellowship experience
  • A Watson cohort of close-knit peers with a variety of backgrounds and interests provides a great source of support and camaraderie for you
  • Guided mentorship by Watson staff, journal readers, and internship supervisors provides further opportunities for  growth
  • A series of engaging cultural events allows you to discover parts of New York City you may have never explored before
  • Discovery Fund extends your ability to self-initiate further professional exploration
  • A New Ventures project teaches you a creative process for solving difficult real-world problems of any size
