The organizer of the PR Week conference reached out to me to see if CCNY students might be interested in volunteering for their event on Weds., Sept. 16.
I need to know by Sept. 3 if students are available.Volunteers who sign up to help out get full-day access to the PR seminars and
to great networking (see link below for more details) As you know,
PR Week is THE leading
PR industry trade publication. This is for their annual professional conference.
The
PR Week Program Coordinator, Maggie Keller, is looking for
TWO students for
each shift.
Shifts are:
Weds; Sept 16:FIRST Session: 9 am -12:55 (ONE student needed-- we already have a PRSSA volunteer)
(lunch-- 12:55-1:45--no volunteers needed)
SECOND Session: 1:45-5:30 (2 students needed)
Cocktail Reception: 5:30 to 6:30 (2 students needed)
Per her email below, they would like volunteers to get feedback from the conference attendees
to help plan for next year's conference. Read below in bold.
Besides practicing their best PR professional skills, students will be with the leading PR pros...a
great opportunity to show their professionalism and to network for internship and jobs! (BRING BUSINESS CARDS and BE PREPARED TO COLLECT THEM, TOO)
Please have students RSVP ME DIRECTLY first by THURSDAY, SEPT 3,to let me know their interest and time slot availability to volunteer.
I'll accommodate FIRST RESPONDERS to this opportunity! Please ONLY RSVP
if students are CERTAIN that they can keep this commitment!
Link below has more on the conference.
Thanks for getting back to me to confirm.

Thanks so much!
The 2 shifts would be 9:00am - 12:55pm, a lunch from 12:55 - 1:45pm and the second session is from 1:45 - 5:30pm. There is then a cocktail reception from 5:30pm-6:30pm that we would also need some help with.
Basically, we are trying to get feedback from our attendees on this year's conference to help us prepare for next year's conference.
We can supply them with iPads with short surveys on them and try to get people to answer the questions. We want to know basics such as location, time of year, etc to help us plan for the following year. I think this will also be great networking for them.
We also have a 40 Under 40 dinner that night and those 40 Under 40 will be at the reception. At the reception, we would just want them to go around and see if the attendees for the dinner also came to the conference that morning, and if not, why didn't they come?
I think having them in shifts would work well so they can also be able to watch the sessions at the conference as well.
If there are any questions you may have, I would be happy to get on a call at anytime.
Once again, I really appreciate your help!
Best,
Maggie
