CCNY has a new Toastmaster's club on campus run by one of the psychology professors, Richard Paino.
This is a GREAT way for Ad PR students who may be shy about their speaking skills, to get practice in a fun and safe environment. See attached and below.
I posted this on Facebook, but PLEASE announce to your classes and encourage students to go. It also exposes students to peers outside their major, which is a great value, too.

We had a terrific meeting yesterday. We heard a great speech from one of our members. We decided on the name for our club (CCNY-PSY Toastmasters). Also, we have some individuals who are looking to become officers in the club. We need more, so please consider running. It is a great addition to graduate school applications and resumés.
For next Thursday we need to fill all club roles:
· Speaker (ice-breaker)
· Evaluator
· Table Topics Master
· Grammarian
· Time Keeper
· ‘Ah’ Counter
Please let me know a.s.a.p. which role you would like to assume. This is how we fill our manuals and grow.
Don’t forget that guests are always welcome, so feel free to bring a friend next week.
The Application Form is attached. If you want to become a member, please fill it out and leave it in my mailbox in the Psychology office. Email me if you have any questions at all.
