Spring '14 Internships - ReferenceUSA Resource
NOW is the time to touch base with Prof. Lynn Appelbaum regarding Spring '14 CCNY - Ad/PR Internships.
As always, it's wise to do your homework. To jump start the process, check out his great ResearchUSA Internships Database, accessible via CCNY Libraries to get an idea of the wide range of internships available. Searches can be targeted by city and area of interest -- including social media, corporate, fashion, entertainment.
A recent database search yielded 350 Social Media internships in NYC; yes, that's 350 live leads in that one area!
You'll recall Prof. Rob Laurich first mentioned this database during your library instructional session at the top of the semester. If you're having trouble accessing ResearchUSA, visit the library in person for assistance.
For your ongoing research needs, reach out to --

The Zahn Center for Entrepreneurship is a startup incubator for technology enabled companies, with a focus on hardware startups, that is, those that are developing physical products. Hardware startups are becoming a growing part of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in New York city and are bringing with them the next wave of product innovation! The resources of the center are focused on helping these startups address the unique challenges associated to prototype development, product design and manufacturing. But we don't just cover engineering, we provide mentorship, business acumen and community connections for our companies to evolve from a great idea into products in the hands of customers.
The center also intends to build and grow a strong hardware community in New York, and will provide prototyping services, events and classes aimed at expanding the knowledge base around entrepreneurship, technology and engineering. If there's something you want to learn in order to get your idea built, we've got you covered! We'll teach you to dazzle your friends with your 3D printed parts, we'll take you from a wired bread board to having your own slick looking PCBs, and we'll prescribe you with what it takes to prepare your product for manufacturing.
