Background
The Bill Bernbach Diversity Scholarship Fund was
established in April of 1998 by DDB Worldwide to provide financial assistance
to creatively talented minority students seeking an education in copywriting
and art direction at chosen 4A’s participating portfolio schools. In 2004, the
agency network began offering scholarship recipients a one-year paid internship
upon graduation. The Fund was dedicated in the name of Bill Bernbach, who is
credited with inspiring many of today’s creative professionals, to insure
advertising remains relevant by reflecting the ethnical and culturally diverse
nature of society.
